Sixty members and guests of Birkenhead Rotary all enjoyed a visit to The Liver Building one spring evening.

Pictured above from the left is organiser Bill McCutcheon, Elaine Farnell, Past President Charles Farnell and Norman Jones, whose suggestion it was to visit the Liverpool landmark.

The stained glass window behind was rescued from the buildings basement and restored to its former glory.

Below is a selection of photographs taken during our visit.

Overwhelming Support

Members of the Rotary Club of Birkenhead wish to thank the staff and shoppers of Grange Road, Birkenhead, Sainsbury's Upton and the residents of Prenton for their most generous support for their Christmas Charity Appeal (December 2008).

"Santa, his sleigh and many helpers collected the overwhelming sum of over £4,700 during the Christmas period. The generosity of local residents was quite staggering, commented Club President Roger Cracknell. "Their charitable donations will help to make a huge difference to the lives of so many people."
